A self-service private cloud, on your own servers.

Virtual machines, managed PostgreSQL, S3 storage, networks, firewalls and VPN. Your teams create what they need from the console, the API or Terraform. Your data never leaves your server room.

The comfort of the public cloud, without the dependency.

CloudZero brings to your infrastructure what your teams like about the public cloud: spinning up a machine without waiting, knowing what each project costs, driving everything through an API. Without the runaway bill or your data sitting with a third party.

Predictable cost

No hypervisor licence, no usage-based bill that drifts. Cost follows your hardware, not a vendor's pricing decisions.

€0 in hypervisor licences

Self-sufficient teams

Teams create VMs, databases and networks themselves, within the quotas you set. IT stays in control without handling tickets.

per-project quotas and budgets

On-site, reversible data

Everything runs in your server room. Disks, objects and databases stay in standard formats: you can leave whenever you want.

disks, S3, PostgreSQL

One point of contact

We write CloudZero, install it and migrate your machines. After that, we run it for you or your teams take it over. Support talks to the people who write the code.

What gets installed on your servers.

One installation, from the foundation up to the console. Each layer relies on proven open source software, integrated, tested and maintained by us.

You keep your hardware, and you choose who runs it: us, or your own teams after buying the platform.

Six steps, from project to budget.

A team discovering the console needs no training. Here is the journey of a new project, from creation to invoice.

One project per application or customer, with its own budget, quotas and members. Roles come from your directory through SSO.

Image, flavor, network, SSH key. The cost at your internal rate and the remaining quota are shown before creation.

A public IP, a firewall rule, and the application is live. No ticket to the network team, and every rule is logged.

A managed database on the project's private network, backed up by the platform. The team gets a connection endpoint, not a server to administer.

Common open source applications, or your in-house apps published by IT, deployed on the shared application platform. No machine to manage, and the cost is charged to the project.

Usage per project and per service, alerts before overspending, export for internal chargeback.

Access

The web console, API, CLI and Terraform provider cover the same scope. Anything you can do with a mouse, you can do in code.

Governance and cost control

Organizations and projects, custom roles, SSO, audit log. Usage tracking, budgets, quotas and a rate card for chargeback.

Who it's for.

IT departments of mid-size companies

Give your teams the self-service they find in the public cloud, on infrastructure you control and at a cost you can forecast.

Hosting providers and IT service firms

Resell cloud under your own brand, from your own datacenters. One organization per customer, a rate card, chargeback ready.

Security and sovereignty.

  • Your data stays with youOn your hardware, in your server room. No third-party service in the loop.
  • Isolation by projectOrganizations, projects and private networks keep teams and customers apart.
  • SSO and custom rolesSign-in through your directory, least-privilege permissions defined by IT.
  • Audit logWho did what, when, and on which resource, for every action.
  • ReversibilityDisks, S3 object storage and PostgreSQL databases in standard formats, retrievable at any time.

Automate everything the console does.

The console, the CLI and the Terraform provider all rely on the same API. Your pipelines create complete environments, with the same permissions, quotas and cost tracking as a user.

Teams already working with infrastructure as code keep their habits.

A 30-day pilot, on your servers.

The best argument is your own team creating its own machines on your own hardware. We install, you use it, we review the results together.

  1. Scoping

Goals, success criteria, servers made available, teams involved.

  2. Installation

We install CloudZero on your hardware and connects it to your directory.

  3. Real use

Your teams create projects, machines and databases on real use cases.

  4. Review

Measured results, target sizing and a migration plan if you go ahead.

All it takes is a few spare x86 servers and network access. Details are agreed together during scoping.

We write the product and we deploy it.

We are the vendor behind CloudZero. The same team develops the platform, installs it at your site, migrates your machines, runs it for you if you wish and builds whatever custom pieces you need.

When you report a problem, it reaches the people who can fix it in the code. No back-and-forth between a vendor, an integrator and a managed-services provider.

What we do
Software, integration, migration, operations, custom development

Frequently asked questions.

Do we need to buy new hardware?

Usually not. CloudZero installs on your existing servers. We check their compatibility during scoping and tells you exactly what can be reused.

What software is CloudZero built on?

A stack of proven open source products, integrated, tested and maintained by us. The detailed composition is presented during scoping.

Can we leave CloudZero?

Yes. Machine disks, object storage and PostgreSQL databases use standard formats. You get your data back without any proprietary conversion.

How does leaving VMware work?

Inventory, installation alongside the existing estate, planned batch migration, then operations. We handle the migration with your teams, application by application.

Who runs the platform?

Your choice. We run it for you under a service level agreed together, or you buy the platform and your teams run it themselves. You can also switch from one to the other.

Can we resell CloudZero under our own brand?

Yes, that is the use case for hosting providers and IT service firms: one organization per customer, a rate card, usage tracking and chargeback.

Is Kubernetes available?

Managed Kubernetes is in preview. It is available during a pilot, with the same networks, quotas and permissions as the rest of the platform.

How much does CloudZero cost?

No hypervisor licence, no usage-based billing. The pilot lets you size the target on your own estate.

Let's talk about your pilot.

Describe your estate in a few lines. An engineer will call you back to prepare the scoping.

  • A first conversation about your estate and your goals
  • A pilot proposal tailored to your hardware
  • 30 days with your teams in the driver's seat
